EVERY FOOT IS UNIQUE

THE HUMAN FOOT IS DESIGNED TO MOVE FREELY: TO WALK, RUN, AND FEEL THE GROUND.
BUT SOMETIMES IT NEEDS PROTECTION.
WE KNOW THAT CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE ISN’T ALWAYS EASY. THAT’S WHY WE’VE CREATED THIS COMPREHENSIVE SIZE GUIDE TO HELP YOU FIND THE BEST FIT.

To choose the right size

Before you begin: Measure your feet, preferably at the end of the day, when they tend to be slightly more swollen from walking.

  1. Place a sheet of paper on the floor, with one edge against the wall.
  2. Place your foot on the sheet and rest your heel against the wall.
  3. Place a book or magazine upright in front of your foot, so that it gently touches the tip of your longest toe.
  4. Mark the spot on the sheet where the book ends, then measure the distance from the wall to the mark. This is the length of your foot.
  5. Repeat the process with your other foot, using the measurement of the longer foot as a reference.

2. Compare it to a pair of shoes that already fit you well

If you have a pair of comfortable shoes—preferably barefoot-style—remove the insole, measure it, and compare its length and width to the measurements in our guide. This is usually one of the most reliable ways to choose the right size.

Keep in mind the shape of the template:

  • Flat insole: If it's flat, like Dolfie insoles, you can use the full measurement.
  • Concave insole: If it has a small raised edge around the heel, subtract approximately 0.4–0.5 cm from the total length before comparing measurements.

3. Choose the fit you prefer

As a general guideline, we recommend leaving between 0.5 and 1 cm of space between the length of your foot and the length of the insole. The ideal amount of space may vary depending on the shape and size of your foot, as well as your preferred fit.

4. Always refer to the specific guide for each model

Sizing may vary among our models because we use different lasts and soles. Before making your selection, always check the size guide for the model you want to purchase.

If you're just starting to wear barefoot shoes:

If you're not used to walking barefoot or wearing barefoot shoes, start with the 6-mm insole. It will provide more cushioning and help you adjust gradually.

Keep in mind the material of the shoes:

If you choose a leather style, keep in mind that we use high-quality natural leather. With wear, the leather may stretch slightly and gradually conform to the shape of your foot. However, the shoes should feel comfortable right from the start.
