SMOOTH LEATHER CARE

Natural leather changes with use and may develop slight variations in color and texture over time. Regular care will help keep it supple and in good condition.

For routine cleaning, first remove dust and surface dirt with a soft, dry cloth. If additional cleaning is needed, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe gently, without soaking the leather.

For a deeper clean, use a product specifically designed for natural leather. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and test it first on an inconspicuous area, especially on light-colored or richly colored leather.

From time to time, apply a small amount of a cream or conditioner specifically designed for skin to help keep it moisturized and supple. Avoid applying too much product, as it can alter the finish or color.

After cleaning, always let it air dry at room temperature. Do not use hair dryers, radiators, or other direct sources of heat, as they can dry out or warp the leather.

If your shoes get very wet, remove the laces and let them dry slowly. You can place clean, absorbent paper inside to help draw out the moisture and keep their shape.

SUEDE CARE 

Suede and split leather require different care than smooth leather. These materials have a more delicate surface and can show marks more easily, especially in light colors.

Before cleaning, let any mud or moisture dry completely. Then, use a soft brush designed specifically for suede or nubuck to remove dust and restore the material's natural texture. Brush gently without applying too much pressure, following the direction of the fibers.

For minor scuffs or marks, use a suede eraser. For more stubborn stains, use a cleaner specifically designed for suede or nubuck, and avoid soaking the material.

After cleaning, always let it air dry away from direct heat sources. Once dry, gently brush it again to restore the suede's finish.

Before wearing the shoes for the first time, and periodically afterwards, you can apply a protective spray designed for suede and nubuck to help protect against moisture and stains. Always check that the product is compatible with the material and test it first on an inconspicuous area, as some protective sprays may slightly alter the color.

FABRIC CARE

Fabrics can accumulate dust and dirt with wear, especially light-colored ones. Gentle spot cleaning is usually the best way to keep them in good condition without altering their texture or color.

Routine Cleaning
First, remove the laces and brush away any dust and surface dirt with a soft, dry brush. Pay special attention to the seams and other areas where dirt may accumulate.

Stubborn Stains and Dirt
Use a soft cloth or a soft-bristled brush, slightly dampened with water and a small amount of mild soap. Clean the stain using gentle strokes, avoiding vigorous rubbing or spreading the dirt to the rest of the fabric.

Remove any remaining soap with a clean, slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking the material, as many of our shoes combine fabric with leather, split leather and other natural materials that require different care.

Drying
Always allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature in a well-ventilated area. Do not use hair dryers, radiators or other direct sources of heat. Avoid drying them in direct sunlight, particularly if the fabric is colored, as this may alter the color.

If the inside becomes damp, place clean, absorbent paper inside the shoes to help absorb moisture and preserve their shape. Replace the paper if it becomes too damp.

Before using any product
Make sure the product is suitable for the type of fabric and test it first on a small, inconspicuous area. Some natural or dyed fabrics may show slight color variations after cleaning.

KEEPING THEIR SHAPE

Due to their flexible construction and natural materials, these shoes may mold to your feet and change shape slightly over time. To help them retain their shape, we recommend keeping the paper inserts that come with the shoes and placing them back inside when you’re not wearing them.

If they get wet, gently stuff them with clean, absorbent paper and let them air dry, away from direct heat sources.

Never wash your Dolfies in the washing machine or submerge them completely in water. Always use products that are suitable for each material, and if you have any doubts, test them first in an inconspicuous area.
