Frequently Asked Questions
For a closer look at every update, read MC5 V2, Supersonic V2 and Dylan V2: What’s New.
What’s changed in the Supersonic V2?
Supersonic V2 keeps almost the same measurements, with 3 mm of extra width through the midfoot and a little more room over the instep for a better-balanced fit.
We’ve also developed a new sole specifically for the model. Its main body is slightly softer for greater flexibility, while the lugged tread is firmer to withstand abrasion and everyday wear.
The result is a slightly lighter and more flexible sole with a more resistant tread.
What’s changed in the MC5 V2?
The measurements remain very close to the previous version.
The redesigned sole is slightly lighter and more flexible. We’ve also lowered the sidewall, allowing the shoe to bend more naturally and reducing tension on the upper at its main flex points.
For the leather styles, we’ve chosen a slightly more structured leather that keeps its finish for longer. It may feel a little firmer at first, but will soften and mold to your foot with wear.
Has the sizing changed?
Only slightly. If you already own one of our earlier Barefoot New Era models and your current size fits well, your usual size will probably still be right.
However, the small changes in measurements and insole thickness may affect how each model feels. We recommend checking the updated size guide or using our “Find Your Size” tool before ordering.
Each pair now comes with two insoles: one 2 mm and one 6 mm, replacing the previous 3 mm and 8 mm options. You can use either one to adjust the amount of room inside the shoe, or combine them for 8 mm of cushioning.
How do I know which size to choose?
Alongside the updated size guides, we’re launching a new tool: “Find Your Size.”
Select the model you’re interested in and enter your foot and insole measurements to receive a size recommendation. The tool is based on the measurements and fit information we’ve gathered over the past year.
If you still have questions, we’re always happy to help.
Will the sold-out Barefoot New Era models be restocked?
We don’t currently plan to restock most of the exact colors and versions listed as sold out, but there are a few exceptions.
The Dylan White Scarlet is coming back soon, followed by the MC5 Shia in mid-October. We're also working on restocking the MC5 Black, though we don't have a confirmed date yet.
Similar colors or combinations may return in future collections, but we don’t currently have restock dates for the other specific styles.
What about the Zero Drop Heritage line?
The launch also brings back many sizes from the Heritage collection.
Toward the end of September or early October, Deck Black and Deck Camel will return alongside two new colorways.
Zen Brown will also return, together with a new Zen version in Black and Pale Pink.
Updated versions of the Duke will arrive in Black and Brown Leather, with a slightly more flexible sole and extra padding around the heel for greater comfort and a more secure fit.
We’re also working on new boot styles for the winter months.
See you soon!
