The MC5, Supersonic, and Dylan models are back in new versions. We've kept their essence, but improved some details of the construction, materials, and fit to make them a little more comfortable, lighter, and more flexible.
Here we tell you about the main changes in each one.
Each of our pairs is handcrafted in a family workshop in Portugal and requires about an hour of specialized work.
The MC5 has been one of our most beloved models from the beginning, so its silhouette remains virtually the same.
What we have done is refine its lines and construction, and redesign the sole to make it lighter and more flexible. We've also slightly reduced the lateral height. It's a small change, but it helps the shoe flex more naturally and reduces the stress on the materials in the areas of greatest flexion.
In the leather versions, we've chosen a slightly more durable leather. It may feel a bit firmer at first, but it will become more flexible and adapt to your foot with use.
In the Supersonic V2, we've revised the lines, proportions, and overall construction of the model. The length and width measurements remain virtually the same, although we've added 3 mm of width in the midfoot area and a little more volume in the instep to offer a bit more room and achieve a more balanced fit.
We've also developed our own sole, adjusting the hardness of each part to find a better balance between flexibility and durability. The main body is slightly softer than before, while the cleated tread area is harder for better wear resistance.
The result is not an extremely flexible sole, but a construction that is somewhat more flexible and lighter than the previous one, yet resistant in the areas that suffer the most from use.
The Dylan V2 maintains the design and essence of the previous version. The Dylan and MC5 have always shared the same sole, so the improvements we've made to it are also present in this new version, making it slightly lighter and more flexible.
In addition, we've reviewed small details of its construction, both inside and out. These are changes that might not be noticeable at first glance, but they improve the finish, the fit, and the overall feel while walking.
In short, the same old Dylan, now a little lighter, more flexible and more polished.
In addition to the new versions of MC5, Supersonic and Dylan, the collection also incorporates two new models: Starman and Supersonic R86.
Starman shares the same last and sole as MC5, so its fit is similar, but it features a completely new silhouette.
The Supersonic R86 shares the same last and sole as the Supersonic V2, but features a fresher exterior design and a combination of suede, recycled nylon, and high-quality leather details.
Almost the entire new collection will be available from EU size 36 to EU size 47.
Each pair now includes two removable gel insoles, lined in high-quality natural leather and free of chemical treatments:
If you liked the cushioning of our old 8mm insole, you can use the two new ones together to get a very similar feel.
This system allows you to better adapt each pair to your preferences and also facilitates the transition between a more cushioned feel and a more minimalist experience.
The measurements of the MC5 V2, Supersonic V2, and Dylan V2 have been slightly revised, and the thickness of the insoles has also changed. Therefore, we have updated their size guides to better reflect the internal space of each model.
If you already own a previous version, you can most likely keep your usual size. However, we recommend consulting the new size guide or using our "Find Your Size" before choosing.
Barefoot footwear is designed to bend and move with the natural motion of the foot. Therefore, its materials flex more than those of a conventional shoe, and it's completely normal for the leather to crease in areas of high movement.
With these new versions we have sought the best possible balance between flexibility, comfort and resistance.
A few simple precautions can make a big difference: using shoe trees or replacing the insole after each use helps maintain their shape. And above all, avoid taking off your shoes by stepping on the heel with your other foot, as this habit can damage them prematurely.

Although this post is focused on Barefoot New Era, we didn't want to finish without also sharing some news about our Zero Drop Heritage line.
The collection continues, and with sales opening, many sizes are back in stock. Towards the end of September, we'll be restocking the Deck Black and Deck Camel, and a new version of the Duke will arrive in Black and Brown Leather, featuring a slightly more flexible sole and a cushioned heel.
And as we head into the winter months, new boot models will also be arriving.
