Product details

Fit: This model is made from thick double-face suede and is unlined, so the suede may stretch with wear. If you have a medium-width or narrow foot, we recommend going down one size, even though the insole measurements are the same as those of the other Heritage models.

Sole: 11 mm B-Light EVA, zero drop
Insoles: Two breathable, antibacterial gel insoles (6 mm and 2 mm), covered with chemical-free natural leather.
Laces: 100% organic cotton
Construction: Moccasin
Handmade in Portugal. Due to the use of natural suede and traditional craftsmanship, each pair may feature subtle variations that make it unique.

Part of our Heritage Zero Drop collection, Zen is a lightweight moccasin crafted from soft Italian suede. Its wider fit gives the toes more room, while the zero-drop sole allows the foot to rest in a more natural position. Left unlined for a softer feel, the suede softens and may stretch with wear.

Each pair is handcrafted in a family-run workshop in Portugal using traditional techniques. Its ultralight 11 mm B-Light EVA sole has zero drop and is stitched directly to the upper. It may feel slightly firm at first, but softens and becomes more flexible with use.

Each pair includes two gel insoles: a 2 mm insole that leaves more room inside the shoe, and a 6 mm insole that adds cushioning and creates a snugger fit. Both are breathable, antibacterial, and lined with chemical-free natural leather.

The first size exchange is free in mainland Spain and Portugal, and costs €7 in the EU · Zone 1. Returns cost from €10, depending on the destination.
We do not accept exchanges or returns from the UK, Switzerland, Norway or the rest of the world.

CARE

Remove dust and dirt with a soft brush specifically designed for suede. For stains, use an eraser or a suede-specific cleaner, being careful not to soak the material. Always allow it to air dry, away from direct heat sources. To help protect it from moisture and stains, we recommend periodically applying a protective spray suitable for suede.

Great shoes! I took my usual size (40 for 25.3cm long feet); they have large room. I use the two insoles combined as my foot are quite low volume, and that works for me. The quality is superb; they are average weight but I don't mind as the quality feels so nice. :) They look great too, not your average barefoot shoe. :)

This new version of the MC5 is great! I wore the first version and can tell Dolfie improved this shoe in every aspect. The quality is excellent, no glue or anything showing. Leather feels and looks very worthy. To know they are manufactured within the EU makes this even better. Style-wise they improved also: the old version looked quite boxy, now they have a sleeker and more "conventional" look, without losing the nice and spacey barefoot feeling. Also they got a little lighter than the old ones. Can highly recommend this shoe to any barefoot enthusiast looking for sneaker style bf-shoes!

They're perfect. The moment you open the box, it's impossible not to appreciate the impressive quality of all the materials; the leather is incredibly soft and comfortable from the very first moment, forget those shoes that require a break-in period. The sole truly flexes with every movement of your foot; I've always had problems with shoes where my toes felt cramped and compressed, but that doesn't happen with these shoes: it's like walking barefoot on a luxurious sofa. You can really feel the care that the artisans and the company have put into this product, as well as the kindness of the customer service team; when I reported that my previous pair had broken, they did everything they could to get me the new ones as quickly as possible.
