In our table, you can see the insole measurements for each size and the width (listed in the box on the left).

To choose the right size:

  1. Measure your foot carefully

To measure the length of your foot correctly, place your heel against a wall and use a book or magazine to gently press against your longest toe. Mark that spot and measure the distance: this is the simplest and most accurate way to determine the actual length of your foot.

  1. Compare them to shoes that already fit you well

If you have shoes that you find comfortable (preferably barefoot shoes), measure their insoles and compare them to the measurements of our insoles. This is one of the most reliable ways to find your perfect size at Dolfie. Also pay attention to the type of insole: If it’s flat (like Dolfie’s), you can use the full measurement. If it’s concave (with a small raised rim at the heel), you’ll need to subtract approximately 0.4–0.5 cm from the total measurement to compare it correctly. This method is usually more reliable than measuring your feet. The length of the insole in the shoes you already own and that fit you well is the best guide for determining your size.

  1. Consider which type of insole you prefer from the options we've included and the fit you want: loose, recommended, or snug.

We recommend leaving a maximum of 1 cm between your foot measurement and the length of the insole, depending on your preference; any more than that may feel too loose. In the boxes on the left, you can see the length and width of the insole in centimeters.

Shoe size:

If you're an expert in barefoot running and rely on the insole size, keep in mind that the inside of the shoe is approximately 2–3 mm larger than the insole. This means the shoe will have a little extra room.

Each pair includes two removable insoles: choose between 3 mm and 8 mm, depending on your preference

To choose the right size, the first thing you should do is consult the size chart based on the template you'll be using.

3-mm insole: It comes as an extra inside the box. It doesn't take up as much space in the shoe, so the fit is roomier or looser (depending on the width of your foot) compared to the 8-mm insole. Ideal if you're looking for a more barefoot feel.

8-mm insole: It comes pre-installed in the shoe. It takes up more space, which may make the shoe feel tighter. Choose this option if you're transitioning to barefoot running or prefer more cushioning.

Foot width:

If you have a very narrow foot: If your measurement falls in the middle or is close to the light green zone, choose one size smaller, especially if you plan to use the 3-mm insole. However, if your measurement is closer to the dark zone, stick with that size.

If your foot is very wide and bulky: If your measurement falls in the dark green zone or is close to it, choose one size larger.
