It’s been a while since our last update, and a lot has been happening behind the scenes.
The past few months have been busy, and they continue to be, as we keep developing, testing, and exploring.
Back in January, we announced that we were pausing the sneaker line to adjust some technical details on the soles before moving forward with the next production runs. Since then, many of you have been checking in, asking what’s happening, when things will come back, or if we have any dates yet.
Fair questions.
Here’s a proper update on where things stand right now.
MC5 / Dylan NS
These two models share the same sole and last. We’ve lowered the height of the sidewalls of the sole by a few millimetres to reduce tension in the areas where the shoe flexes. This has also helped slightly reduce weight and improve flexibility. On paper it may sound like a small change, but you can really feel it when walking.
We’ve also gone deeper into materials, especially the white leather used on the MC5.
It’s an incredibly soft leather, almost “buttery”, with a very natural feel, but the reality is that softer leathers tend to crease more easily over time.
We’re now testing different leathers of the same quality in order to keep that softness, but with a bit more structure so the shoe holds its shape better over time. It may not feel quite as “buttery” on first touch as the previous version, but it’s still a very soft leather within a more structured and durable build, keeping a cleaner look for longer.
We should also highlight that all our leathers are responsibly sourced, coming from food industry by-products and certified by the Leather Working Group. This is something we care deeply about at Dolfie.

Supersonics
Supersonic is a slightly different story. When we first launched it, we used an outsole from a trusted supplier to move faster and test the design. It worked, many of you connected with it immediately.
Now, we’re developing our own outsole. Not to change the silhouette, but to make it more ours and refine the details.
The fit remains very similar, but we’ve added a few millimetres of width in the midfoot area and a bit more volume in the instep.
On the sole itself, most of the work has been around flexibility, weight, and durability.
We’ve been testing different Shore A rubber combinations: softer in the centre to improve flexibility, and harder in the contact zones with the ground to increase durability. These are small adjustments, but they make a big difference in how the shoe feels and performs over time.
Dylan NS (special release)
In April, we’ll kick off the spring season with a limited Scarlet edition (vegan), made from hemp, this time in white.
We’ll also restock the Dylan NS Black, and release two new suede colourways along with a new hemp vegan version.
HERITAGE ZERO DROP – Deck, Duke & Zen
This spring/summer we’re launching two new colourways of the Deck, three new versions of our Duke loafer, and restocking Zen 2 Brown, along with a new black suede version.
They feel like gloves for your feet.
Why it’s taking so long
Every change, even a small one, affects everything else.
New soles → new lasts
New lasts → new moulds
New moulds → new testing
And then we wear them, break them in, and test them across different situations.
There’s no shortcut.
Where we are now
We’re still in that process: testing, adjusting, repeating.
Some things are already where we want them. Others need more time.
This pause hasn’t been ideal, but it was necessary to reset the foundations properly. Once that’s done, everything will move much more smoothly.
About timing
We know this part is frustrating.
We could give dates, but they often shift, which ends up being worse.
So we prefer to share confirmed dates once production is locked in.
What we can say is that throughout spring and summer, we’ll be releasing these updates and restocks, along with news silhouettes we can´t wait to share it with you.
A few questions we’ve been getting quite often, so here’s a quick recap.
Are MC5 and Dylan NS coming back?
Yes, with a refined sole and new colourways.
Restocks include: Black & White, LTD White, LTD W&G (very similar), LTD B. Red (very similar).
Dylan NS: Black.
Supersonics coming back? Yes, with a new sole and better balance, plus six new colorways Restocks won’t be identical, but very close to best sellers: Grey, Green, Sand.

When is the launch and how can I stay updated?
It will still take a bit more time. The first releases are expected around April/May.
MC5 and Supersonic will follow later, around June.
We’ll share exact dates as soon as production is confirmed. You’ll see updates through our newsletter, blog, and Instagram.
