March Update 2026

It’s been a while since our last update, and a lot has been happening behind the scenes.

The past few months have been busy, and they continue to be, as we keep developing, testing, and exploring.

Back in January, we announced that we were pausing the sneaker line to adjust some technical details on the soles before moving forward with the next production runs. Since then, many of you have been checking in, asking what’s happening, when things will come back, or if we have any dates yet.

Fair questions.

Here’s a proper update on where things stand right now.

MC5 / Dylan NS

These two models share the same sole and last. We’ve lowered the height of the sidewalls of the sole by a few millimetres to reduce tension in the areas where the shoe flexes. This has also helped slightly reduce weight and improve flexibility. On paper it may sound like a small change, but you can really feel it when walking.

We’ve also gone deeper into materials, especially the white leather used on the MC5.

It’s an incredibly soft leather, almost “buttery”, with a very natural feel, but the reality is that softer leathers tend to crease more easily over time.

We’re now testing different leathers of the same quality in order to keep that softness, but with a bit more structure so the shoe holds its shape better over time. It may not feel quite as “buttery” on first touch as the previous version, but it’s still a very soft leather within a more structured and durable build, keeping a cleaner look for longer.

We should also highlight that all our leathers are responsibly sourced, coming from food industry by-products and certified by the Leather Working Group. This is something we care deeply about at Dolfie.

Supersonics

Supersonic is a slightly different story. When we first launched it, we used an outsole from a trusted supplier to move faster and test the design. It worked, many of you connected with it immediately.

Now, we’re developing our own outsole. Not to change the silhouette, but to make it more ours and refine the details.

The fit remains very similar, but we’ve added a few millimetres of width in the midfoot area and a bit more volume in the instep.

On the sole itself, most of the work has been around flexibility, weight, and durability.

We’ve been testing different Shore A rubber combinations: softer in the centre to improve flexibility, and harder in the contact zones with the ground to increase durability. These are small adjustments, but they make a big difference in how the shoe feels and performs over time.

Dylan NS (special release)

In April, we’ll kick off the spring season with a limited Scarlet edition (vegan), made from hemp, this time in white.

We’ll also restock the Dylan NS Black, and release two new suede colourways along with a new hemp vegan version.

HERITAGE ZERO DROP – Deck, Duke & Zen

This spring/summer we’re launching two new colourways of the Deck, three new versions of our Duke loafer, and restocking Zen 2 Brown, along with a new black suede version.

They feel like gloves for your feet.

Why it’s taking so long

Every change, even a small one, affects everything else.

New soles → new lasts
New lasts → new moulds
New moulds → new testing

And then we wear them, break them in, and test them across different situations.

There’s no shortcut.

Where we are now

We’re still in that process: testing, adjusting, repeating.

Some things are already where we want them. Others need more time.

This pause hasn’t been ideal, but it was necessary to reset the foundations properly. Once that’s done, everything will move much more smoothly.

About timing

We know this part is frustrating.

We could give dates, but they often shift, which ends up being worse.

So we prefer to share confirmed dates once production is locked in.

What we can say is that throughout spring and summer, we’ll be releasing these updates and restocks, along with news silhouettes we can´t wait to share it with you.

A few questions we’ve been getting quite often, so here’s a quick recap.

Are MC5 and Dylan NS coming back?
Yes, with a refined sole and new colourways.
Restocks include: Black & White, LTD White, LTD W&G (very similar), LTD B. Red (very similar).
Dylan NS: Black.

Supersonics coming back? Yes, with a new sole and better balance, plus six new colorways Restocks won’t be identical, but very close to best sellers: Grey, Green, Sand.

We’re also introducing some very special new silhouettes.

When is the launch and how can I stay updated?
It will still take a bit more time. The first releases are expected around April/May.

MC5 and Supersonic will follow later, around June.

We’ll share exact dates as soon as production is confirmed. You’ll see updates through our newsletter, blog, and Instagram.

Thanks for being there and for following us along this journey.for caring about the details, and for being part of this journey.

Restocks and New Releases

Hey guys!
We know a lot of our models are sold out in most sizes right now. We’ve been getting a lot of messages every day asking when we’re restocking, so we wanted to share a bit of what’s been going on behind the scenes.

First off, yes, our bestsellers are coming back, just not in the same way. They’ll come back redefined.

We actually had most of our restocks and new drops planned months ago. But at the last minute, we made a pretty big call.
We felt there were a few details in the MC5/Dylan and Supersonic soles that could be better. So we decided to pause everything, rework the MC5/Dylan sole, and build a new one for Supersonic from scratch.

It means restocks and new colors are taking longer than we hoped. But we’d rather slow things down and feel 100% good about what we release than rush something out.

It wasn’t an easy decision. We knew it would slow things down, and that building a new sole from scratch takes time. But it felt like the right thing to do.

Our plan is for these restocks and new releases to arrive during this spring/summer. Exact dates will come later, but we wanted to be transparent so you know that what’s missing now is already in motion.

Designing a truly barefoot shoe isn’t simple. Every production run teaches us something new, and we use that to tweak the small details that actually make a difference.

Thank you for your patience, your messages, and your trust.
We’re excited about what’s coming, and we truly hope you’ll love what we’re working on next.

Dolfie Zero Drop Heritage Collection

Our Heritage collection has been developed over nearly a year of careful work, and it’s finally here. Each piece is unique, limited edition, and shaped by craftsmanship, patience, and the kind of care that only comes from making things slowly.

This collection is crafted in a small family workshop in Portugal, where shoemaking has been passed down for more than a century.

Today, very few workshops in Europe still work this way, with the time, care and hands-on approach required for this kind of construction. We choose this type of craft because it preserves authenticity and the level of quality that only traditional shoemaking can offer.

It is a slower, more human process, built on trust, collaboration and years of shared experience. For us, it is the only way to create something we can truly stand behind.

We use premium Italian leather sourced from local suppliers we know and trust. Every hide comes as a certified by-product of the food industry, and every piece is fully traceable. We never support animal mistreatment, and it is essential for us to understand exactly where our materials come from.

We choose natural leather because it ages beautifully, is breathable, durable and, when treated traditionally, is more naturally biodegradable than many modern materials. At the same time, we continue exploring new natural alternatives that align with our values and long-term vision.

Our Way of Working

Dolfie has always followed its own path. We care deeply about design, but even more about the people and processes behind it. We choose materials for their origin and integrity, not for their cost, and we work only with local artisans and suppliers who share the same respect for the craft.

High-quality handcrafted shoes don’t come cheap. But if you compare our prices with other brands made in the same renowned workshop, using similar, sometimes even higher-quality materials and meticulous construction, you’ll notice the difference. Those brands often retail for €400 – €600 or more.

The reason our prices are more accessible is simple: we don’t sell through retailers, and we don’t work with intermediaries. By selling directly to you, we avoid the layers of markups that usually come with traditional retail. This allows us to offer handmade shoes, crafted with care, noble materials, and artisan techniques, at a price that feels fair and reasonable for the quality it represents.

We are an independent company with no investors or external pressure. This gives us the freedom to work at our own pace, produce in small quantities and avoid overproduction, keeping every pair intentional. Sustainability is not a trend for us, it is simply the way we were raised to work, responsibly, close to home and always conscious of the impact we leave behind.

We are inspired by the ocean, by nature and by the calm rhythm of the outdoors, and that quiet way of moving through the world shapes the way we design.

This collection opens a new chapter for Dolfie, exploring a different space while staying true to our principles. Heritage is not a purely minimalist barefoot collection, but it respects the wide toe box and zero-drop foundation you know and love, with slightly thicker soles for added insulation and structure.
The collection features moccasin-inspired silhouettes, reimagined boat shoes, and winter-ready boots. They feel firmer at first and gradually soften with wear, adapting beautifully to your feet.

We ship worldwide. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We hope you love them!

WHAT’S NEXT FOR DOLFIE: NEW DROPS, RESTOCKS & FUTURE PLANS

Just three months ago, we launched our first barefoot collection and we couldn’t be happier with how it’s been received. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s embraced this new journey with us.

From the beginning, we saw this phase as a trial period to understand how our community would respond to this new approach. The overwhelmingly positive feedback has encouraged us not only to continue, but to grow and evolve.

WE’RE COMMITTED TO IMPROVING AND CREATING

With everything we’ve learned in these first few months, we’re already working on refining many more details in our upcoming designs: cleaner finishes, better fits, and materials carefully chosen to enhance the barefoot feel. We want every new barefoot model to feel like a real evolution, without losing the essence that makes Dolfie unique.

NEW INSOLE OPTIONS

Looking ahead to winter, we’ll also be offering thermal insoles and wool-lined options to keep your feet warm and cozy on colder days.

Starting with this collection, we’ll also be offering size 47, not just in Supersonic, but across all barefoot models, so more people can find their ideal fit.

Preorders will open in the coming weeks. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter and follow us on social media so you don’t miss out, like most of all our drops, it will be a limited edition.

We’re also developing an even more minimalist version of the Supersonic, without the lightning bolt on the side. It’s part of our long-term vision and still in the design phase, but we can’t wait to share it with you when it’s ready.

We’re also working on new colorways and editions of other beloved models like Zen and Dylan, which will roll out over time.

Our goal is to grow the barefoot family slowly and thoughtfully, always staying true to our style.

LOOKING TOWARD FALL/WINTER

We’re designing a range of barefoot shoes with colder months in mind: boots, loafers, and boat shoes, handcrafted from top-quality leather with true artisanal craftsmanship. For example, we’re designing a future version of the Zen model as a mid-cut boot with natural wool lining inside, perfect for the colder months.

La imagen tiene un atributo ALT vacío; su nombre de archivo es dolfie-loafer-barefoot-1024x538.jpg

We’re also developing a new, more flexible rubber sole with added width in the midfoot area. This new sole will be used in future Supersonic versions as well as in new upcoming models, to offer more space and comfort. It’s still in the design phase, so we can’t give a launch date just yet, but we wanted to give you a sneak peek.

DOLFIE BAREFOOT SANDALS

We know many of you were looking forward to our first barefoot sandals this summer, especially after seeing some sneak peeks on our social media. Unfortunately, the factory was unable to complete production on time due to extreme heat in Portugal, which forced them to reduce activity for worker safety.

As a result, we’ve had to postpone the launch until next spring/summer. We’re truly sorry for the delay and are grateful for your understanding.

MOVING FORWARD, STEP BY STEP

Our mission remains the same: to grow slowly, with care, honesty, and attention to every detail. New designs, fresh colors, more options, but always staying true to what makes Dolfie special.

Thank you for being part of this community that inspires us every day. We’re excited to walk this journey with you.

The Dolfie Team

Introducing the Dolfie Barefoot Kids Collection: Free and happy feet from day one!

At Dolfie, we’re excited to introduce our brand-new barefoot shoe collection for kids! This line of minimalist shoes was created so the littlest ones in the family can grow with healthy, strong feet and total comfort – just like walking barefoot, but with the protection of a real shoe.

Here’s everything you need to know – from the benefits of barefoot shoes in early childhood to the unique design and artisan quality that make this collection truly special. We’re launching with two star models – Dylan NS Kids and MC5 Kids – and we’ll be expanding the family little by little!

The Benefits of Barefoot Shoes for Kids

Choosing barefoot shoes for your kids isn’t just a trend – it’s a choice with powerful benefits for their development. Some of the most important ones include:

  • Natural foot development: Barefoot shoes let children’s feet grow and develop naturally, with no restrictions around the toes and full flexibility. That means the foot can take its natural shape, encouraging proper bone and joint alignment from their very first steps. Feet that grow freely – not trapped in stiff shoes – will be healthier in the long run.
  • Muscle strength and arch formation: When kids walk as if they were barefoot, the muscles and tendons in the foot work more actively than they do in conventional shoes. This helps build stronger feet and allows the arch to form correctly. A strong arch is essential for a healthy stride and helps prevent flat feet and other issues. In short, strong feet today build a stronger foundation for tomorrow.
  • Better balance and coordination: Barefoot shoes have thin, flexible soles that let kids actually feel the ground beneath their feet, improving proprioception (the body’s ability to sense movement and position). This deeper connection to the ground improves balance and coordination naturally. You’ll see your kids run, jump, and play with more confidence and agility.
  • Healthy posture from the start: Unlike thick-soled or raised-heel shoes that can throw off alignment, barefoot shoes are flat (zero drop) and fully flexible. This encourages proper posture from the very beginning. Strong, well-supported feet help keep the back, hips, and knees in line – building a natural, upright stance that will prevent future aches and pains.
  • Sensory stimulation and active play: Barefoot shoes let kids experience more sensations through their feet – textures, surfaces, temperature – all of which enrich their learning and sensory development. Walking almost barefoot makes playtime outdoors more fun and more educational. And because they’re not bothered by stiff or heavy shoes, they’re more likely to stay active – a big plus for overall health.

As you can see, barefoot-friendly shoes do more than protect – they educate and empower. At Dolfie, we believe that taking care of little feet early on is one of the best investments in lifelong well-being.

Unique design and Dolfie’s signature artisan quality

Of course, at Dolfie, it’s not enough for shoes to be healthy – we also want them to be beautiful, fun, and made to last. Our new Barefoot Kids collection stands out for its unique design and handcrafted quality that makes every pair something truly special.

  • Handmade with love: Every pair is handcrafted in Portugal using premium-quality materials. We use soft, chemical-free suedes and leathers from the food industry’s leftover hides (no animals are harmed to make our shoes!). Every shoe passes through expert hands to ensure long-lasting durability and impeccable finishing.
  • Flexible and tough: Dolfie Barefoot Kids shoes are both comfortable and strong. The 5 mm rubber soles are flat (zero drop), ultra-flexible, and sewn to the upper for maximum durability. This allows the foot to move freely, while holding up to all the energy and adventures of childhood.
  • Style kids (and parents) love: We know kids (and grown-ups!) fall in love with what they see – so we’ve created a signature Dolfie look: versatile colors, fun details, and that cool, unmistakable vibe. Just because they’re barefoot shoes doesn’t mean they look basic or boring – quite the opposite! Each pair includes unique accents, from colorful lace touches to embroidered logos, that make both kids and adults smile.

In short: this collection brings together health, design, and heart. Your child gets shoes that support healthy foot growth, without sacrificing style. And you get the peace of mind that comes with choosing an ethically made, high-quality product.ado beneficioso para sus pies en crecimiento, sin renunciar a verse bien y a la moda. Y tú tendrás la tranquilidad de elegir un producto de calidad, hecho éticamente y pensado con cariño.

Just the beginning…

The new Dolfie Barefoot Kids Collection launches with Dylan NS Kids and MC5 Kids, but this is just the beginning of the journey. We’ll be growing the collection step by step with new models, colors, and surprises – always staying true to the barefoot philosophy and the Dolfie spirit.

At Dolfie, we believe in doing things with heart. That’s why seeing little ones run, jump, and discover the world in our shoes fills us with pride. We invite you to explore the collection online or in store – and if you have any questions, we’re always here to help.

Get those little feet ready for freedom, comfort, and fun.
Thank you for trusting us – and happy barefoot adventures, from our family to yours!

Supersonic NFS: urban design, barefoot at heart

The sneaker that redefines barefoot – with contemporary elegance.

In a world flooded with fleeting trends, a few pieces stand out – for their clarity, their purpose, their truth. Supersonic NFS is one of them.
A reimagining of a Dolfie classic, redesigned from the inside out to deliver what few sneakers dare to promise: true freedom of movement wrapped in radically understated, timeless design and uncompromising quality.

A build that breathes quality

Handcrafted in Portugal by expert artisans, Supersonic NFS is made from responsibly sourced Italian leather and premium suede.
Its chemical-free leather lining is exceptionally soft, offering an immediate sense of enveloping comfort. It molds effortlessly to your foot – as if it were made just for you.

Barefoot design, hidden in plain sight

At first glance, it might pass as a sleek, minimal urban sneaker. But beneath its clean silhouette lies a true barefoot construction.

  • Foot-shaped last: wide, flexible, and anatomically correct
  • Zero-drop sole (6 mm + 3 mm with 3 mm tread for added grip and durability), made with up to 50% recycled TR
  • Two interchangeable insoles in recycled ADT (3 mm and 8 mm) so you can fine-tune the barefoot experience.

The result is precise and balanced – a seamless blend of protection, ground connection, and natural flow.

An icon in evolution

Supersonic NFS is – without excess – the most comfortable sneaker Dolfie has ever created. And this is just the beginning: new colorways are already in the works, expanding the possibilities without compromising a single ounce of its original spirit.

A sneaker designed for those who know that true luxury lives in the details.

For now, Supersonic NFS is available in three versions, blending natural leather and suede with subtle elegance and defined character.
Three variations of the same philosophy: timeless sophistication, clean lines, and a silhouette that speaks for itself.

A wardrobe essential with a barefoot soul – contemporary, versatile, and built to move with you season after season.

DOLFIE FOOTLOOSE IS HERE!

We’ve reinvented our shoes so you can reinvent the way you move. Discover Dolfie Footloose – the beginning of a new era for your feet.

After countless tests, adjustments, and a lot of passion, our new Premium Barefoot collection is finally here!

For over 15 years, we’ve been designing handcrafted footwear with care, soul, and attention to detail.
But at some point, we began to ask ourselves deeper questions:
What if comfort and beauty weren’t enough? What if our shoes could also be truly healthy for the body? That’s when everything shifted.

We knew we wanted to keep creating beautiful, durable shoes – but now, with a new purpose: to give your feet the freedom they were always meant to have.

What is barefoot, and why does it matter?

Barefoot shoes are designed to follow the natural shape of your feet. No raised heels, no narrow toe boxes, no forced postures.
Just pure, natural movement – as if you were walking barefoot, but protected by high-quality, sustainable materials.

We believe shoes shouldn’t reshape your feet. They should respect them.

This change didn’t happen overnight.

We’ve spent the last two years researching, designing, adjusting and testing – because we didn’t want to jump on a trend. We wanted to do things properly.

We wanted to understand the body, the foot, and how to create shoes that not only look good – but make you feel good every time you move.

Meet our new Premium Barefoot line: Dolfie Footloose.

All of our lasts and soles are now redesigned to give your feet more space, more flexibility, and more comfort.

Every pair is zero drop – meaning the heel and the toe are at the same level. This helps align your posture naturally, strengthens the muscles in your feet and legs, and reduces pressure on the joints.

Each model also includes a removable transition insole, perfect for those who are new to barefoot walking. It helps you adapt gradually and safely.

A new concept, same Dolfie spirit.

We still work the way we always have:
By hand, in small workshops in southern Europe. With patience, intention, and love.

We use premium natural materials, and we choose durability over speed. Because good things take time – and a good product is made to last.

We care about your feet and about the planet.

Our commitment goes beyond design. We create with respect: for people, for the environment, and for everything that surrounds us.

Dolfie Footloose is part of our shift toward a more conscious and sustainable way of making footwear – one that values quality, transparency, and long-term thinking.

This is just the beginning.

Dolfie Footloose is the result of two years of transformation. We’ve never been more proud or more excited now that it’s here.

We hope these shoes bring you comfort, freedom and joy. That they become your second skin, whether you’re walking through nature, city streets, or just enjoying the small things.

Thank you for walking with us.
This is more than a change in shoes – it’s a new way of walking.

Peace & Love,

Dolfie team

OUR COMMITMENT TO LEATHER

At Dolfie, we take great pride in the provenance and quality of our leathers. We are proud members of the Leather Working Group, an organization that certifies responsible practices within the leather industry. Our leathers come exclusively from by-products of the food industry: no animals are sacrificed to make our shoes.

We carefully select each piece of leather, ensuring that it meets the highest quality standards and has been treated with eco-friendly tanning processes, free from harsh chemicals like chromium. We firmly believe that, when worked responsibly, leather is the most durable, long-lasting, and sustainable material. Our shoes are designed to age with you, becoming unique pieces that challenge the culture of disposability.

Alternatives to Leather: Are They Truly Sustainable? It Depends…

Today, vegan leathers, often presented as a more sustainable alternative to traditional leather, are gaining popularity. However, it’s important to note that many of these materials, like grape, apple, or cactus leather, still require plastic coatings (such as polyurethane) to be functional. This means that, despite sounding promising, they still have a negative environmental impact. Furthermore, their lower durability forces consumers to replace them more frequently, contributing to increased waste.

At Dolfie, we believe that true sustainability comes from making informed decisions. That’s why we prefer to choose natural materials and work with responsible processes that respect both the planet and animals.

Materials like organic cotton, hemp, and cork are not only eco-friendly but also renewable and biodegradable. We believe that by choosing these materials, we can offer durable, high-quality products without compromising our sustainable values.

Leather, when ethically processed using techniques like vegetable tanning, can be a durable, biodegradable option with a lower environmental impact compared to synthetic materials.

A Necessary Delay: Perfection Takes Time

We know many of you have been eagerly waiting for Dolfie’s first Barefoot collection, and we wanted to give you an update.

At the last moment, we noticed some sizing details in the soles that didn’t sit right with us. We knew we couldn’t launch the collection without making sure everything was absolutely perfect, so we made the tough decision to delay the release.

Why? Because creating new molds to fine-tune the sizing, perfect every last detail of the shape, and ensure maximum quality and comfort takes time. And we didn’t want our barefoot launch to be anything less than flawless.

Every step of this process has been carried out with the utmost dedication and passion. From the initial concept to the final adjustments, we’ve made sure everything lives up to the high standards we set for this new Dolfie era.
