There is honesty in things made slowly.
In the past months we have been working quietly on something new, something that feels like the natural next step for Dolfie. A collection shaped by craftsmanship, patience and the kind of care that only comes from making things slowly.

Our new Zero Drop Heritage Collection is crafted in a small family workshop in Portugal, where shoemaking has been passed down for more than a century.
Today, very few workshops in Europe still work this way, with the time, care and hands-on approach required for this kind of construction. We choose this kind of craftsmanship not only to know the people behind each pair, but because it allows knowledge, care and responsibility to pass naturally from hand to hand.
It is a slower, more human process, built on trust, collaboration and years of shared experience. For us, it is the only way to create something we can truly stand behind.

We use premium Italian leather sourced from local suppliers we know and trust. Every hide comes as a certified by-product of the food industry, and every piece is fully traceable. We never support animal mistreatment, and it is essential for us to understand exactly where our materials come from.

We choose natural leather because it ages beautifully, is breathable, durable and, when treated traditionally, is more naturally biodegradable than many modern materials. At the same time, we continue exploring new natural alternatives that align with our values and long-term vision.

Our Way of Working
Dolfie has always followed its own path. We care deeply about design, but even more about the people and processes behind it. We choose materials for their origin and integrity, not for their cost, and we work only with local artisans and suppliers who share the same respect for the craft.
Many of the workshops we work with also produce for well-known brands whose prices are often two or even three times higher, using similar materials and techniques. In many cases, we choose the same leathers, or even higher-quality ones.
The difference is simple. We don’t sell through physical stores and we don’t work with intermediaries. By selling directly to you, we avoid the layers of markups that usually come with traditional retail. This allows us to offer footwear made in renowned workshops, with noble materials and careful construction, at prices that feel fair and reasonable in comparison.
We are an independent company with no investors or external pressure. This gives us the freedom to work at our own pace, produce in small quantities and avoid overproduction, keeping every pair intentional. Sustainability is not a trend for us, it is simply the way we were raised to work, responsibly, close to home and always conscious of the impact we leave behind.
We are inspired by the ocean, by nature and by the calm rhythm of the outdoors, and that quiet way of moving through the world shapes the way we design.

This new collection brings barefoot into a very different space for us. It introduces a new language: moccasin-inspired silhouettes, reimagined boat shoes and winter-ready boots. They follow the natural shape of the foot and keep a true zero-drop foundation, with a thicker sole that offers more insulation and structure. They feel firmer at first and gradually soften with wear.
